We still have
a number of residents who have not picked up their pool
keys. I would encourage you to do that as early
as possible. The board is doing it's best to be
available to distribute these keys but as the summer
progresses, our schedules will likely get as hectic
as most of you. If you are a homeowner who has
rented your property to someone else and would like
to allow your tenet the use of the pool, we have supplied
a Tenet Authorization form to be filled out and faxed
to Kevin at Principle Management Group. This form
is located on the Pool page and on the Forms page.
All board members have a some keys to hand out
and David and I have a larger supply You are welcome
to contact us at any time, though we ask you to be patient
as we may not be available immediately.
Thank you
for your understanding.

Thank you
to everyone who came down to the Ice Cream Social to
pick up your pool keys. I believe we have them
all entered now. As with any new system there
may be some hiccups when we first get started.
Please try your key as soon as possible and let us know
if there is a problem. If your key does not open
the gate correctly please contact myself or David Lay.

Greetings
neighbors,
I promised
to follow up on a few points raised at the annual General
Meetings.
The first
point is the issue of excessive speed along Ranch and
Quail Hollow. The point was raised for the board
to look into having speed bumps installed in our main
roads to slow those few of our neighbors who disregard
our speed limits. We promised as a board to look
into it with the Sachse Police Department. I spoke
with Interim Chief Tommy Moloney, Lt Dean Winters and
in the past have spoken with Fire Chief Doug Kendrick.
They all discourage the use of Speed bumps on our streets.
They're points of jack rabbit driving, damage to vehicles
and swerving to miss them present dangers of their own.
What our police department would like to do for us is
step up there patrols. The also are asking our
residents to make note of vehicles which seem to habitually
violate the speed limit. Even though they can
not issue tickets base on a citizens report, what they
will do if there are several reports of the same set
of vehicles, they will attempt to locate the home of
the drivers and stop by and explain the speed limits
benefit to the owners. Often times this is enough
to slow them down.
The second issue I was asked to look
in to was the new school on Ranch road. Most of
you are probably aware a new elementary school will
be built near the fire station. It will be the
Don Whitt Elementary School. I was asked if it
would be "walk up school" After
speaking with Dr. Fuller, Wylie ISD Superintendent,
last night, he assures me that it will be just like
the other elementary schools in the WISD. Most
of the children will be from the immediate area but
there will most likely be some that will ride a bus
from Murphy.

Unfortunately we were unable to make
quorum on the April 19th Annual Meeting. Although
we had in excess of 60 people there, it did not represent
enough households. Our by-laws require that we
call a Recall Meeting within 30 days. The board
has decided to call this meeting next Thursday the 26th.
The meeting will be held at the Charles Smith Funeral
Home at 7:30p Election of officers will be held.
The board
would like to thank all our residents who were
able to attend on the 19th as well as those who can
attend on the 26th.
The board
would also like to thank our special guests. Mayor
Mike Felix and challenger Stephen Stanley attended our
meeting and were available for questions. Both
gave us their thoughts on the growth and state of Sachse.
We as a board strongly encourage all our residents to
take an interest in our local leaders and exorcize your
right to vote.
There
was a great deal of discussion regarding the amount
and speed of traffic on both Quail hollow and Ranch.
A number of ideas were suggested. We will do our
best to follow on each of the ideas. I will be
speaking with our Chief of Police and will post information
as it becomes available on this site. Please check back
periodically for updates.
Reminder
The
board meets the third Tuesday of each month. We
encourage you to join us for the board meetings. Please
contact
any board member for meeting location. We invite
homeowners to join us at 7:15 p.m. There will
be occasions where the dates may change due to conflicts
of board members. Please verify the date and time
in advance. If you have any questions, concerns
or comments that you would like to present to the board,
please come to the meeting or email the Board.
We have several
commitees that are in search of some new blood.
Currently our Newsletter, Pool, and Landscape committes
are looking for additional volunteers. Your help
will be appreciated whether you are a commitee chair
or a volunteer on a single event.
